“Masons Scaffolding have played a crucial role in the restoration of the Grade I listed North Wing at St Barts Hospital. Their expertise in problem-solving was particularly evident in addressing the complex loading challenges in the Great Hall, where no weight could be placed on the historic floor. Their innovative use of modular beams and suspended scaffolding systems, installed through the existing windows, provided excellent access to the floor and eliminate the need for more invasive back propping.
Masons also installed the access scaffolding for the restoration of the Hogarth paintings The Pool of Bethesda and The Good Samaritan. These iconic works by William Hogarth are of both historical and artistic value, and Masons' care and attention in providing safe access for the conservation team was exemplary.
