Now to meet Neil Garner, who joined the Masons management team this Summer

What’s your job title

Associate Director

What does your job involve?

Anything and everything. The intention is to free up some of Grant’s time so I get involved wherever I’m needed. I’ve worked in large companies in the past and I’m here to help Masons grow organically.

What’s your background?

I’ve been in the industry for a long time and was a Director at Trad Scaffolding for many years before joining Masons in the Summer.

What’s your favourite part of your job/What are you most looking forward to in your job?

I like the fact that the role is multi-faceted, no two days the same. I’ve pretty much got a free rein to do what I want to help move the business forward. I flit in and out of everything so I’m dealing with customers and scaffolders on a daily basis as well as working with Grant on plans for the business.

Why Masons Scaffolding?

I can see the potential that Masons has to grow as a business and am really looking forward to being part of that growth. The first thing that struck me about Grant was his passion for his brand. It at the core of everything he does and instantly recognisable. Grant cares passionately about his business and will always go the extra mile to provide his customer with exceptional service, nothing is too difficult.  We clicked instantly and I think it’s going to be an exciting journey with lots of laughs along the way.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Hobbies etc.

Eating out, although this has been curtailed somewhat this year. I ride a motorcycle and love trips to Europe with my wife. I also enjoy spending time with the family, playing golf and racketball.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

An open book.

We’re off to the pub – what’s your order?

A pint of Stella, followed by a large glass of red.
