The brief
At 141 Wardour Street, Masons Scaffolding have been entrusted with providing independent scaffolding, gantry systems, and a lifting beam to facilitate refurbishment work.
Overview
Our scaffolding team have installed a 1-tonne passenger hoist from the gantry to the top level, ensuring seamless vertical transportation for personnel and materials.
A lifting beam will be strategically positioned to facilitate the movement of heavy materials and equipment. To protect workers and equipment from inclement weather, a temporary roof will be constructed over the work area, allowing refurbishment work to proceed without disruption.
The challenges we faced
Operating in a bustling area of London with high pedestrian traffic necessitated the implementation of multiple strategies to reduce risks. These measures included establishing exclusion zones, applying for parking suspensions, and scheduling work outside of regular hours.
Interesting facts about the project
New client for Masons. Just a few doors down from the famous 100 Wardour Street which welcomed David Bowie, The Rolling Stones & Jimi Hendrix back in the 60’s.
Outcome
We are currently a quarter of the way through this complex project and are looking forward to seeing the finished result after all our team’s hard work.
